After an early breakfast at your lodge, you will depart for Tarangire National Park for an exciting full-day game drive. The park is renowned for its breathtaking landscapes dotted with ancient baobab trees and vast savannah plains, as well as the Tarangire River, which serves as a vital water source attracting large concentrations of wildlife throughout the year. Tarangire is especially famous for its impressive herds of elephants, often seen roaming in groups, along with giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and various antelope species. Predators such as lions and leopards may also be spotted depending on the day’s sightings. During the game drive, your experienced guide will share knowledge about the park’s ecosystem, wildlife behavior, and conservation efforts, making the experience both educational and memorable. After an early breakfast at your camp at sunrise, you will check out and depart for Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” Upon arrival, you will complete registration at Loduare Gate before descending into the crater for an unforgettable game drive, with a picnic lunch served on the crater floor.
The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and forms a remarkable natural sanctuary that supports one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa. Its unique ecosystem and enclosed environment, surrounded by towering walls rising about 2,000 feet, create ideal conditions for diverse species to thrive throughout the year. This exceptional destination also offers one of the rare opportunities to observe the endangered black rhino in its natural habitat.
During your game drive, you may encounter a wide range of wildlife, including lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, antelopes, and an impressive variety of birdlife. With some luck and the expertise of your experienced safari guide, it is possible to spot the renowned Big Five within a single day.
In the late afternoon, you will ascend from the crater and proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay in Karatu, located just outside the conservation area.

Begin your day with an early breakfast at the lodge, or you may choose to carry a packed breakfast and lunch for the journey ahead. You will then descend into the floor of the Great Rift Valley and proceed to Lake Manyara National Park for your final day of your Tanzania safari.
The name “Manyara” originates from the Maa language of the Maasai people, referring to the Euphorbia tirucalli plant traditionally used to create protective hedges around their homesteads and livestock. The park is well known for these distinctive trees, as well as its famous tree-climbing lions, which are often seen resting on branches during the heat of the day. The park is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including giraffes, buffaloes, impalas, and small antelope such as dik-diks.
As you enter the park, you will pass through a lush groundwater forest sustained by underground springs, providing an ideal habitat for blue monkeys, baboons, bushbucks, and large herds of elephants that gather beneath the shade to feed on fresh vegetation. The park also features hippo pools and the alkaline lake itself, where you can observe hippos and an impressive array of birdlife, including flamingos, pelicans, Egyptian geese, cormorants, and many other aquatic species.
You will continue with game drives until midday before departing for Arusha, marking the conclusion of your memorable safari experience.
